Zhi Pan (Peter) 4/22/2002 Guizhou Province
Zhi Pan joined Bethel in May of 2009. He is blind in both eyes but can perceive light. When he is in a room, he likes to turn the light on.
When he first came, he had a hard time being independent. He had difficulties finding his way around and dressing himself. The ayis worked hard to teach him how to feel his environment, how to touch them and memorize them with his fingers. He also learned how to use the blind stick, and now he has progressed enough to be able to go to Beijing School of the Blind! We are so proud of how far he has come!
Zhi Pan has a good memory and can speak some English. He loves to sing and has a perfect tenor voice. He always has lots of questions! He loves to give and receive hugs. We are so happy this special boy has come to Bethel!
