Thank you for inquiring about the different volunteering opportunities at Bethel. Bethel is a specialized organization because it works with visually impaired orphans. We prefer to receive volunteers who have an area of expertise in that field (doctors, occupational therapists, music and special education teachers). Generally, we favor applicants that can stay for longer durations, however, exceptions can be made. All application forms will be reviewed; prospective volunteers with other experience backgrounds may be able to help with other needs.
Bethel has partnered with IES-Global, a leading provider of educational, work and volunteering services. They help us manage our volunteer and intern program by offering a comprehensive package including Visa assistance, 24/7 personal support, and a one week orientation tour. It is still possible to apply directly to Bethel but we would appreciate it if you submit your application through IES-Global. This will not only enrich your own volunteer or intern experience but you will also support Bethel. A part of the IES-Global fee will be directly donated to Bethel so that our free-board and lodging policy can stay in effect.

NOTE: Bethel only accepts volunteers that are 21 or older.
