So I (Mr. Z) have hijacked Guillaume’s account and have justly decided to give him a much-deserved week off from writing.
The holiday season is in full swing here in Beijing and we have much to be thankful for. I personally would like to think that 2011 has been a breakthrough year for Bethel. We’ve come a long way as we have implemented our City Life program, opened up our Project 555 trainings to orphanages and families, and are right around the corner to launching our second project site in Southern Beijing.
I am confident that none of this would have been possible without the support of individuals such as yourself who have taken the time to connect with and share the stories of the children that Bethel both represents and strives to reach. Thank You.
Now let the fun begin ;)
MY CHOICE FOR THE EMPLOYEE OF THE WEEK GOES TO:

-None other than professional cosmetic spokesman Guillaume Gauvain.
As some as you may or may not know, Guillaume was one of the top up and coming make up artists in France. Unfortunately (and fortunately for Bethel) he never made it in America, as people couldn’t understand his English at the time.
Years later G’s English is perfect and is now the respected mentor and leader that we look up to (especially at my height). G, you make the right captain for the Bethel Boat.
THE AWWWW PICTURE OF THE WEEK GOES TO:

Ms. Laoshi Amy- Other than that, the picture speaks for itself.
THE OH MY! PICTURE OF THE WEEK:
Driving from Dou Dian back to Beijing I was following the chap who did this:

Thankfully he was all right and no was injured in the accident. For a few minutes though I was looking for some video cameras to see if they were filming Mission Impossible 7 or something. Turns out he was texting while driving.
WOULD LIKE TO RECOGNIZE:

IKEA has been one of Bethel’s long-standing supporters. This holiday season IKEA is sending a 2012 Bethel calendar to each and every one of their 4,140 employees throughout all of China as a holiday gift.
The calendars are designed using professional photographs of the artwork the children have compiled during the year. I think they are beautifully made and make a great gift. Send me a message if you’re interested!
Signing Off

We at Bethel would all like to wish you a safe and relaxing holiday season. Thank you for your support in 2011 and we hope that you will continue to follow us in what will be an exciting 2012. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Mom, Dad, Rachel and Laur I love you all.
Yours truly,
Mr. Z
