Tian Li Ying
Li Ying is an enthusiastic young lady, with a beautiful smile and a sweet personality. Even though she acts childish at times, she loves interaction from adults and is very helpful. Li Ying is also very persistent, and takes her studies seriously.
Li Ying has minimal vision and practices using the special light table in order to train her eyes. She is a bright student and is doing very well with her Chinese Braille. She is also becoming more confident in her Oral English class, and with patience and persistence, she often answers the questions correctly, showing she understands a lot more than she leads on at times. With encouragement and support, Li Ying is learning to leave behind some of her insecurities and low self-esteem. She does not take criticism very well and is often wounded by taking something too seriously.
Li Ying is a talented young lady and she loves music! Her favorite thing to do is listening to music on the computer and on her MP3 player. She is also able to send emails on her own. She takes piano lessons and sings in the choir. She is daily getting more freedom and responsibilities. She is doing well and is showing more confidence in her daily life and schooling.
Li Ying is becoming an adult and doesn’t like anymore to play with children. She prefers to talk to her big sisters who work in the office. We now give her some work at Bethel. At he end of the month, she receives a small salary.
We hope Li Ying will continue to do well in her classes, and will feel more confident and secure in herself, as she is a very smart young lady with a lovely personality and beautiful smile.
