Mission

Bethel’s mission is to empower children who are blind or visually impaired and their caregivers by:

 

  • Providing high-quality care, education, life skills and livelihood opportunities to children who are blind or visually impaired through foster care and school projects.  

  • Providing education and support to institutions, communities and families of children who are blind or visually impaired.

  • Partnering with organizations, institutions and corporations who share our vision in order to achieve greater impact.

  • Care - We care for the body, heart and mind of children who are blind or visually impaired, offering them skills and access to academic opportunities.

  • Influence - Through awareness and education, we aim to shape social perception to create an environment where children who are blind or visually impaired can realize their potential and develop their many abilities.

  • Innovation - We use new methods and creative ways to achieve our mission and serve our community (hippo-therapy, aqua-therapy, art and farming projects, sensory room…)

  • Excellence - We constantly challenge ourselves to the highest quality levels of learning and performance.
