About Harper

Harper just arrived at Bethel's school for blind and visually impaired children during the summer of 2019 and she is such a smart and bright little girl! She loves telling stories and singing songs to anyone who is willing to be her audience. She is already an amazing big sister and has been going around and giving the younger children big hugs and lifting them in the air. During her first few weeks at Bethel she heard Jaden crying and insisted on holding him to cheer him up. Bethel is the first time she has attended school and she has such a love for learning!

Harper is blind with beautiful silver eyes. She has great self cares skills and is able to do everything on her own. We have begun teaching her braille and how to use a cane and is doing well in both areas. She has been especially enjoying learning how to play the piano and her arts and craft classes. She is a sweet girl who is excited by simple kindnesses. She was over the moon when we bought her new clothes when she arrived at Bethel and when we got her special snow pants for the snow.

Adoption Information

Bethel firmly believes love is the heart of a family, which is why we continue to carry out our mission based on trust in a family unit. While Bethel itself is not an adoption agency, we are committed in advocating for the adoption of all our children in the hopes that their families find them sooner.

More than 150 Bethel children have been adopted into loving homes throughout Bethel’s 15-year history.
